Arriving at Javits Center:

When is Javits Center open?

Building open depending on events. Please go to your dedicated event website to learn the best time to arrive for your event.

Where do I enter?

Entrances are located on 11th Avenue between 35th Street and 39th Street (429 11th Ave, New York, NY 10001). If you are attending an event in the North building, please use the dedicated entrance on 11th Ave closest to 38th St (445 11th Ave, New York, NY 10001).

How do I get there?

Javits Center is conveniently located near the 7 line Hudson Yards stop, MTA bus stops for the M34, M42, M50, M12, and M11 lines, NY Waterway, Citi Bike docking station and parking. Click here for more information.

Is there a dedicated rideshare drop off?

There is a dedicated taxi / rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc.) drop off on the corner of 38th Street and 11th Avenue.

Does Javits Center have dedicated parking?

Javits Center does not have dedicated parking for guests attending events. However, you can view a map of local parking by clicking here.

Will there be a baggage check?

Baggage check locations are determined by your event. There are two permanent baggage check locations in the Center – one is located in the south building next to FedEx and one is located in the north building atrium. Additional satellite baggage check locations may be available at the event organizers request. Please go to your dedicated event website for more details.

Where are the bathrooms?

Bathrooms are located throughout Javits Center, including in the north hallway on Level 2 of South Javits and in the pre-function spaces on Level 4 and 5 of North Javits.

Are there escalators?

Escalators are located throughout Javits Center between every floor of the building.

Are there elevators?

Elevators are located throughout Javits Center. Please ask a Javits Center employee or head to the Concierge Desk in the Crystal Palace of South Javits to find the closest elevator.

Where is first aid located?

Javits Center has two designated first aid stations that are open during show hours and staffed by a nurse or EMT-Ps. They are located on Level 1, 1D corridor, South Javits and Level 2, Atrium, North Javits. Additionally, the Command Center responds to all medical and non-medical emergencies. To report an emergency, please call 212-216-2222 and give your name, type of emergency and the exact location of the incident (be as specific as possible).

Are nursing facilities available?

Both first-aid stations have dedicated space for breast-feeding, which is equipped with a refrigerator and electric outlet. The first aid stations are located on Level 1 in the 1D corridor and Level 2 in the North Javits Atrium. Event organizers may dedicate additional space – please go to your dedicated event website for more details.

Are there ATMs?

A Chase ATM is located on Level 1 across from the Special Events Hall / 1D. Nearest 34th & 10th.

Is there Wifi in the building?

Yes, WiFi is available throughout the Center.

Are charging stations available?

Complimentary charging stations are located in the south concourse on Level 2.

Where is food and beverage available for purchase?

Food options are determined by the event organizer. Vending machines are located on Level 1 across from Nibble & Graze and are always available during events. Click here for more information.

Is there a water station?

Water fountains and water stations to refill water bottles are located throughout the campus near the restrooms.

Is smoking allowed?

Javits Center maintains a smoke-free campus. Both smoking and vaping is prohibited anywhere on Javits Center property, including the inner roadway and Javits Center-owned sidewalks.

Are pets allowed?

Only service animals for persons with disabilities are permitted at the Javits Center. No other animals are permitted in the Javits Center except as part of an approved exhibit, activity or performance legitimately requiring the use of animals. Although emotional support animals and/or comfort animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not service animals and therefore are not permitted in the Javits Center.

What items are prohibited from entering the building?

Weapons, firearms, fireworks, flash pots, other pyrotechnic devices, drones, electric scooters, and segways.

Can I bring a professional camera or recording device?

Cameras and recording devices are at the discretion of the event organizer. Please contact event management for permission.

Is there a lost and found?

The Javits Center Public Safety Team manages Lost and Found services for all events held at the Center. With the help of Boomerang, a digital Lost & Found platform, we have streamlined the process of recovering lost items. Our Lost and Found office operates 24/7, and all found items are held for a designated period in accordance with our policy before being donated. You can click here to submit a request.

Accessibility

Is there an accessible entrance?

The Center has sidewalk ramps, automatic doors at all street levels, restrooms and elevators accessible for persons with mobility impairments.

Are there wheelchairs and motorized scooters available for rent?

A limited number of wheelchairs are available at no fee from the Javits Concierge Desk located on the Crystal Place level of the Center. Attendees will be required to leave a driver’s license or credit card. When the chair is returned, the license or card is returned.  A limited number of electric scooters are also available to rent for a fee.  These vehicles are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Are service animals permitted?

Guide dogs and service animals (as defined by the ADA) are welcome at the Center provided they are leashed. Service animals are limited to dogs1 that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. No other animals are permitted in the Javits Center except as part of an approved exhibit, activity or performance legitimately requiring the use of animals. Although emotional support animals and/or comfort animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not service animals and therefore are not permitted in the Javits Center.

Are there accessible bathrooms?

All public restrooms are accessible.

Are there elevators?

Elevators are located throughout Javits Center. Please ask a Javits Center employee or head to the Concierge Desk located in the Crystal Palace of South Javits to find the closest elevator.

Is accessible parking available?

No public parking is available on-site. Please call our Security & Safety Solutions Department at (212) 216 2196 for additional information.
