WEST SIDE RISING

When you attend an event at the Javits Center, not only will you get breathtaking views of the Hudson River, but also a front row seat to the dramatic revitalization of Manhattan’s West Side neighborhood.

Bordered by the Hudson River, Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen and Midtown, the West Side is where the action is. And you won’t have to look far beyond our glass curtain wall to sense it. A red-hot hub for fashion, design, communications and the arts, the area is a magnet for creative professionals and digital media firms, as Google’s recent move to the West Side attests. Plus, it’s growing at a dizzying rate that outpaces any other section of Manhattan.

The Javits Center is in the heart of Hudson Yards—the most dynamic new neighborhood in New York. Built on 28 acres over a working rail yard, Hudson Yards is the largest private real estate development in U.S. history. Upon completion, it will boast 5 office towers, roughly 5,000 residences, a collection of restaurants, a 750-seat school, a luxury hotel and much more. The High Line, a public park built on an elevated freight rail line, helped kick off the West Side’s resurgence. Beginning at  Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District, its final section was recently completed and extends to the Javits Center’s back door. And the Hudson River Park, an urban oasis with sweeping river views, is a short stroll away.

The West Side represents the best New York has to offer. Like the city of which is a part, the neighborhood is bold, bustling and relentlessly innovative. It embodies the promise of a vibrant future for Manhattan. And in the sizzling center of all the excitement is the Javits Center.
