Where is the Javits Center and how do I get there?
The Javits Center is located on 11th Avenue between 34th and 40th streets. Pedestrian entrances are located at 35th, 36th, 37th, and 38th Streets on 11th Avenue.

M12 Bus: Runs along 11th Avenue from Columbus Circle to the West Village. Stops on 11th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Street.
M34 cross town bus: Runs east/west on 34th Street. Stops on 11th Avenue outside the Javits Center and at Penn Station. The M34 bus requires passengers to use pre-boarding fare collection machines before boarding the bus. These machines are designed to speed up the loading process. Pay your fare at a fare collection machine at the Select Bus Service bus stop. There are two types of fare collection machines that accept fares and issue receipts.
You must pay with a Metrocard at the MetroCard Fare Collector or pay with $2.75 in coins at Coin Fare Collector.
You MUST pay at one of these machines and get a proof-of-payment receipt before boarding the bus. Keep your receipt for the duration of your trip.
M42 cross town bus: Runs east/west on 42nd street. Public transportation by city bus or subway costs $2.75. The subways accept MetroCards. Buses accept MetroCards and exact change fares (no bills). With MetroCards you can transfer from subway to bus and bus to subway for one fare within a two hour period. MetroCards are available at the nearby stores, subway stations and the Hudson News stands located in the Javits Center. Port Authority: New Jersey Transit and other buses arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 42nd Street between 8th and 9th Avenues.

Different variables such as heavy traffic and tolls should be taken into account in gauging the final cost of your trip.
A cab ride between Grand Central, Penn Station or Port Authority to the Javits Center can cost anywhere from $8-$15 depending on the traffic.
The NY Waterway operates a ferry from Weehawken, NJ. In just 8 minutes the ferry takes you across the Hudson River to 39th Street and 12th Avenue, just one block from the Javits Center. Just park at the convenient lot adjacent to the ferry terminal in Weehawken and take a ferry which leaves every 10 - 15 minutes during peak hours.

Citi Bike is New York’s popular new bike sharing system, which features thousands of bikes at hundreds of stations around the city. The bikes can be rented from and returned to any station in the system, and are available 24/7, 365 days a year. You may choose to purchase a 24-Hour Access Pass for $9.95 or a 7-Day Access Pass for $25. Access Passes may only be purchased at Citi Bike stations, using the touchscreen kiosk. A Citi Bike station is conveniently located on 34th Street at 11th Avenue.
Can I walk to the Javits Center from PENN Station?
Yes, it is possible to walk the Penn Station area to the Javits Center by heading west along 34th street to 11th Avenue. It’s about a twenty-minute walk.
Where is the closest parking garage? How do I get to the Javits Center by car?
There is no on-site parking at the Javits Center. However, there are many parking garages in the vicinity. The average price for event day parking is usually starts at around $50 a day and is subject to change depending on the Center’s activity. Is the Javits Center accessible?
The Javits Center has sidewalk ramps, automatic doors at all street levels, restrooms and elevators accessible for persons with mobility impairments. Payphones are accessible and are equipped with volume and TTY capability for those with speech and hearing disabilities.
Motorized Mobility Devices may be used by people with mobility impairments subject to reasonable safety restrictions (e.g. exercising extra caution in busy locations such as loading docks and show floors during move-in and move-out periods). While no public parking is available on site, a limited number of parking spaces may be made available for customers with a valid Parking Permit for People with Disabilities issued by a government authority. Call 212.216.2196 for information and reservations.
Service Animals (i.e. dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities) are welcome at the Javits Center — provided they are leashed or under similar control as appropriate. Trained miniature horses also will be permitted when possible in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Owners take full responsibility for their animals. How far are the closest major airports?
The New York metropolitan area is serviced by three major airports: JFK International, Newark International and LaGuardia Airport.
Travel time by taxi from the airports to midtown Manhattan varies by airport. Travel time from LaGuardia to midtown can take anywhere from 25-40 minutes. JFK can take anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour and Newark 40 to 60 minutes.
JFK International Airport: To and from JFK and any location in Manhattan is a flat fare of $25 (tolls, surcharges of $0.50, $0.30 and tip are extra). To and from JFK and other locations will be charged as metered fares.
Newark International Airport: The fare is metered and ranges from $50-$75 (tolls, $17.50 Newark surcharge and tip are extra). During weekday rush hours (6–9am and 4–7pm) and on weekends (Saturday–Sunday, 12pm–8pm), there is a $5 surcharge for travel to anywhere in New York State except Staten Island.
LaGuardia Airport: The fare is metered and can be anywhere from $29-$37 (tolls, surcharges and tip are extra).
Javits’ official transportation partner, SuperShuttle/Golden Touch Transportation Services is offering special fares between the Javits Center and local airports via shared ride shuttle service with an advance online reservation. SuperShuttle provides airport service. Golden Touch provides private car, chauffeured car and charter bus rental. How can I access wireless internet at the Javits Center?
The Javits Center has been fitted with a high-density wireless Internet access system. This service includes FREE wireless Internet access up to 256K of bandwidth. The free WiFi service has been optimized for light business uses such as simple web browsing and e-mail. Video streaming and other high bandwidth needs will be better served by other Internet services available at the Javits Center.
Paid internet access options with higher bandwidth are available for single or multi-day use. This high density wireless service can be accessed by any wireless capable device from any location throughout the facility.
