Electrical: .The installation and removal of electrical wiring, load centers, disconnects and distribution panels are done by Javits’ electricians. Exhibitors can rent quad boxes, plug-in strips and 110, 208 and 460 volt service. To ensure optimal booth lighting, Javits offers various types of lighting fixtures including parcan, skanda, gooseneck and clamp-on flood lights. Javits also has an inventory of sound equipment such as microphones, sound systems and tape recording equipment. Javits’ electricians are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 3.

Cleaning: Javits’ management provides a professional cleaning staff whose job it is to make sure that the show floor and aisles are kept clean for the duration of the show. If an exhibitor desires extra attention to their booth, cleaning packages are available for booth cleaning, carpet shampoo, porter service and hazardous waste removal. Javits’ cleaners are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 237.

Plumbing: All plumbing services are done by skilled professionals. Javits’ plumbers install and remove all compressed air lines, water and drain lines, sinks, hot water heaters and overhead venting. They also store, handle and connect bottled gas and fill and drain water tanks over 20 gallons.

Telecommunications: The telecommunications department installs, removes and repairs all telephone lines. Services include the setting up basic phone lines to high speed internet connections. Telecommunication experts also install fax, modem and credit card lines, multi-line phones, ISDN lines, shared Ethernet and T1 service. Telephone technicians are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 3.
